As a full time swimming coach, David Lim a.k.a. Yellowfish has coached swimmers at various levels from children to adults extensively. He has been coaching children since 1993 and is currently also coaching adults who are new to swimming as well as seasoned triathletes.
Having started swimming actively as a triathlete since 2002, David understands the type of training and discipline required to prepare for a triathlon. His objective has been to prepare them for open water swimming as well as to equip them with various training methods both in the pool and at sea.
David was a competitive basketball player in the 1990s and in-line skater in 2002. He actively participates in sporting events including open sea swimming, master swimming, triathlons and marathons. When schedule permits, he also participates in both short and long course races overseas.
As an active member of the Singapore Swimming Committee, David has been tasked to promote masters swimming. In line with this, Yellowfish was joint organizer of the 2008 Singapore Masters Swimming Meet.
In October 2008, David is one of the Singapore Coaches who have been selected by ITU for the Level 1 ITU Accredited Competitive Coaching Course, as part of ITU Sport Development in Asia.

How did the name YELLOWFISH come about? It was an idea from a little yellow toy fish that sprints across the water effortlessly once its tail is wound up.
YELLOWFISH, the company, was thus formed and has since helped swimmers brave the waters whilst keeping fit.
